Associate Dayan
Rabbi Mordechai Djavaheri was born and raised in Long Island and is a product of Yeshiva University with a BA in Mathematics and Computer Science, a background in IT and software engineering, and Yoreh Yoreh and Yadin Yadin ordination from RIETS. He is the sofer gittin for the Bet Din and also teaches Torah in Yeshiva University and Great Neck’s Sephardic Bet Midrash.
Since 2019, Rabbi Djavaheri has been signing and writing Gittin with various Batei Din from coast to coast – the Beth Din of America, Beit Din of Elizabeth, Chicago Rabbinical Council, Rabbinical Council of California, Denver Beis Din, Badatz Mekor Haim, and Milwaukee Beis Din. Rabbi Djavaheri is fluent in Farsi and is, therefore, sought out by many dayanim to ensure every Sephardi (and Ashkenazi) Get has Arabic and Persian names spelled correctly.
Rabbi Djavaheri’s shiurim can be found on YUTorah.
