As the Sephardic communities of the New York Tristate area continue to burgeon, many Rabbanim, Dayanim, and Roshei Yeshiva, both Ashkenazi and Sephardi, local and national, voiced a need for a professional and qualified Sephardic Bet Din to handle matters of divorce, conversion, and monetary disputes.

At the behest of the Rishonim LeTzion, Hacham Yizchak Yosef and Hacham David Yosef, as well as the local Rabbanim, Dayanim, and Roshei Yeshiva, Rabbis Meir Gavriel Elbaz and Mordechai Djavaheri created Badatz Meorot HaMishpat to service the Sephardic communities of Long Island, Queens, Brooklyn, Manhattan, the Bronx, and Northern New Jersey.
The Bet Din is professional, competent, and transparent. Every case is handled with care and compassion to make the process as comfortable and straightforward as possible for the parties. Every Get is prepared for with some of the greatest Dayanim in the country to ensure the highest level of Halachic service.
At the helm of the Bet Din stands Rabbi Noach Isaac Oelbaum, a renowned posek and senior rabbi of the Queens community.
Ashkenazim are welcome, too!
